Redeemer’s University was established with a dream of producing graduates who combine academic excellence in the practice of their profession with moral and religious attributes. A number of hurdles were faced by the proprietors and creators of the university as the government had banned the establishment and operation of private universities under the Decree No. 19 of 1984. Fortunately, after the period of 9 years, the Federal Government, when promulgated Decree No. 9 of 1993, allowed private individuals or organizations to establish universities in Nigeria.
Redeemer’s University campus is located at Ede, Osun State, Nigeria. The academic staff of the university is divided into 4 Colleges: College of Humanities, College of Management Sciences, College of Natural and Basic Medical Sciences and College of Postgraduate Studies. These colleges offer a wide range of educational programs for graduates and under-graduates. The aim of the university is the acquisition, conservation, dissemination and application of knowledge along with moral values. With a vision of World Peace, the management looks forward to begin it from their own country by molding and pruning their generation into creative, innovative, inventive entrepreneurs of the future.
IAO successfully grants Redeemer’s University the status of candidacy upon their educational services, provided to the students of Nigeria, along with the teaching of moral human values.
