Jamshedpur Women’s College is awarded with Full Accreditation by International Accreditation Organization on their exceptional services in providing high quality education to their students.
The foundation of the college was laid in the year 1953, in a couple of rented rooms of a community center. It was challenging to bring out young women from their houses and convince their guardians to permit their wards to pursue higher education. The college aims to provide quality education to their students and to provide special attention to enhance the employment potential among them. In highly motivated academic environment, the college offers education in all three faculties of Science, Commerce and Art at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The college missions to empower women and make them self-reliant, so that they are independent to support themselves and their families. The college primary focus is to help many underprivileged, talented women by providing higher education and ensure to fulfil the objective of the Higher Education Policies, by uplifting the socially and economically backward classes of the society. The college offers a wide range of facilities to its students among which the facilities of Hostel, Travel Concessions, Stipends and Scholarships are noteworthy.
